The Classic Horror Campaign in association with the Rue Morgue UK facebook page presents : CREEPY CLASSIC HORROR TRAILERS today featuring Bela Lugosi’s iconic DRACULA (1931)! Rue Morgue magazine has a tradition of combining coverage of contemporary horror alongside a celebration of the classics and the roots of horror in movies and culture.

Universal Pictures’ adaptation of the successful stage play based on Bram Stoker’s gothic vampire novel Dracula was a massive success and started off the first wave of horror movie mania across the world. This led to a whole range of monster movies featuring vampires, werewolves, mummies and the Frankenstein monster which captured the publics imagination.

So here for your delectation is a taster of Universal Pictures classic DRACULA (1931)!

A huge festive thank you from all at The Classic Horror Campaign for your support over the past twelve months. We now have over 2000 signatures in our petition to get the BBC to bring back their classic horror double bills on a regular basis which means we need to plan a few special events for 2012 and present the petition to Aunty Beeb!

We have a whole bunch of our own classic horror double bill screenings planned for 2012 starting with our Hammer Horror Double Bill at the Roxy Bar & Screen on February 19th. You can still vote on which Hammer films you want us to show so head to this page and place your vote now!!

We also have an upcoming Shane Briant horror special in March and are organising another Frighten Brighton mini-festival for the end of February. Take a look at our events page for more details!
