Hammer Films are renowned across the world for their classic horror films but their science-fiction and fantasy output was equally prolific over the years. Now a new book from UK publishers Hemlock Books takes an in-depth look at all of Hammer’s fantasy and sci-fi movies and television shows from Stolen Face (1951) thru the Quatermass trilogy, One Million Years BC (1966) and Moon Zero Two (1969) to Creatures The World Forgot (1971).

Extensively illustrated, British Cult Cinema: Hammer Fantasy & Sci-Fi is 264 pages exploring the history of Hammer’s many ventures into science-fantasy, setting them in the context of the genre as a whole and providing the reader with a wealth of intriguing background detail, as well as dozens of rare photos from private collections with a foreword by Martine Beswick.

And if you attend the Classic Horror Campaign’s SCARY SCI-FI MONSTER DOUBLE BILL on Sunday 1st April you could win a copy of this fascinating book by Bruce G Hallenbeck along with a whole bunch of prizes from Hemlock Books and Diabolique magazine!
