Today we raise our glasses and enjoy a glass of Classic Horror Champagne to celebrate the birthday of sexy Caroline Munro – Britain’s first lady of fantasy! Born 16th January 1949, Caroline first became famous as the face (and body) of Lamb’s Navy Rum and her rise to fame continued with roles in a string of popular horror, sci-fi and fantasy films including Hammer Films’ Dracula AD 1972 and Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. Still active on the horror scene, particularly on the festival circuit, Munro recently made a guest appearance on ITV’s top-rated detective show Midsomer Murders in a homage to British horror films of the sixties and seventies. Happy birthday Caroline, long may your reign as the UK’s first lady of fantasy continue!
