Sultry British actress Barbara Steele was born on December 29th 1937 and became famous for her roles in numerous European horror films in the 1960′s. Steele also went on to appear in David Cronenberg’s seventies classic Shivers (A.K.A. They Came From Within) and in the 1991 television revival of gothic daytime soap Dark Shadows.
