Horror writer Stephen King is no stranger to classic horror film fans and today the Classic Horror Campaign wishes the master of horror a very happy birthday! Stephen Edwin King was born on September 21st 1947 and gained massive fame with the success of his best-selling horror novels Carrie, Salem’s Lot and The Shining. Many of King’s novels and short stories have been adapted into films and television mini-series which remain popular amongst horror film fans of all ages.
